Live Surgery

Medical Conferences Live Streaming In The Operation Theatre Filming a live surgical or medical procedure during a live surgery meeting demands an experienced crew and a specialised set-up. We have been performing live surgery since 2011 during our medical training. Live surgery is an live medical educational tool to show to an expert audience a new surgical technique or approach, diagnostic procedure, tools, decisions.

Our goal is to ensure your audience sees exactly what matters in the highest quality while enabling meaningful interaction between the operating surgeon and the audience or moderator during live surgical broadcasts.

To achieve comprehensive coverage of the procedure, multiple cameras are strategically installed in the operating room (OR) to capture every aspect and stage, from initial preparation to final closure. Remote-controlled boom cameras provide the ability to “fly” over the surgical field, capturing high-resolution, close-up images of each step. Depending on the procedure, we work in 2D-HD, 3D-HD, or FullHD formats.

All relevant medical imaging devices, such as microscopes, ultrasound machines, fluoroscopy, roadmaps, and hemodynamic monitors, are integrated using advanced scan converters. These devices enhance the native resolutions of the imaging outputs to HDTV (1920×1080, 16:9) or UltraHD standards.

Video feeds are transmitted to a live mixing desk located near the OR. Operators’ commentaries are captured using wireless microphones, while patient history slides, graphics, and statistical data can be incorporated into the live transmission. At the mixing desk, video and audio sources are combined, picture-in-picture views are created, titles and animations are overlaid, and the final video feed is prepared for transmission. Additionally, the “HD live” audio signals and internal communications between camera operators, the mixing desk, and technical staff at the conference venue are efficiently managed here.
